Good Faith Estimate & Your Rights
Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for care generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of their healthcare services before those services are provided.
Radiant Elite Behavioral Health is committed to providing clear information about the expected cost of your care.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have health insurance or choose not to use your insurance to pay for your care, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your healthcare services.
If you schedule services at least 3 business days in advance, Radiant Elite Behavioral Health will provide a Good Faith Estimate within the timeframes required by federal law. You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling care.
What Your Estimate Includes
Your Good Faith Estimate will include the healthcare items and services that Radiant Elite Behavioral Health reasonably expects to provide as part of your scheduled care, along with the expected charges for those services.
The estimate is based on information known at the time it is prepared. Your treatment needs may change, and additional or unexpected services that could not reasonably be anticipated may not be included in the original estimate.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Expected
If your bill is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate you received from Radiant Elite Behavioral Health, you may be eligible to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
You may also contact Radiant Elite Behavioral Health to discuss the difference between your estimate and your bill. If you choose to use the federal dispute resolution process, you generally must begin the process within 120 calendar days of the date on your initial bill.
